Gretchen Stephenson has been training dogs and their owners for various dog sports and pet manners for over 12 years.
She began tracking and scent work in 1996 with her first Weimaraner. Since then, she has trained a Weimaraner to an AKC CT title and two other Weimaraners to an AKC TD and ASCA TD title and is currently training for TDX and VST titles with both dogs.
She has personally trained and handled Weimaraners, a German Shepherd, and a Golden Retriever for tracking work. Through group classes, seminars and private lessons, she has worked tracking with over 35 different breeds of dogs and their handlers including Italian Greyhounds, Mini Bull Terriers, and Great Danes.
Gretchen is a Tracking Judge for TD and TDX and should be approved to judge VST shortly. She is also a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT), AKC Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dogs International, Inc evaluator. She has taught obedience and tracking classes and owns her own dog training business.
